Help Bring the Chrysalis Gala to Life

Volunteer at the Chrysalis Gala & Awards

 

Want to be part of a meaningful evening that celebrates youth leadership?

Greek Roots is looking for a small team of youth volunteers to help us deliver a memorable Chrysalis Gala & Awards experience. This is a great opportunity to support an important community event, gain hands-on event experience, and be part of a special night.

Volunteers can help during one or both of the following time blocks:

  • 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • 11 p.m. to 2 a.m.

At the beginning of the evening, we need help with room setup starting at 4 p.m., as well as with guest registration and ticket check-in between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. At the end of the night, we will need support with dismantling, packing up supplies, and helping us close out the event smoothly.

Those who choose to volunteer for both shifts will be invited to stay and enjoy the gala, and their meal will be provided on us as a thank you.

This is a limited opportunity for just four volunteers, so please sign up soon if you would like to be part of the evening and lend a hand.

Volunteer Requirements

  • No skills or previous experience are necessary.
  • If you are under 18, your parent or guardian must complete this release form: https://greekroots.org/consent-form/
    • Note: your parent or guardian only has to compete this form once (i.e. not for each volunteer opportunity)
  • Instructions and orientations will be provided closer to the event.
  • You will be provided with clothing/markings to identify you as a volunteer.
  • To get to the location, we encourage you to carpool or take public transportation
  • For shifts of more than 4 hours, a free meal is provided.
  • We will provide a volunteer confirmation following your service. Please allow up to two weeks to receive your confirmation
