Greek Roots is a Canadian nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower the next generation of leaders through community volunteerism, mentorship and Hellenic cultural experiences. We welcome all youth aged 13-29 who espouse the values of Hellenism and/or are interested in learning more about Greece and Greek culture.

GREEK FESTIVAL << LA FLAMME HELLENIQUE >>
August 15 – 18, 2024
Join us in the heart of Montreal’s Greek Community – Park-Ex – for an amazing Greek Festival, presented by the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal. Volunteers, ages 13-29, are needed for several tasks including welcoming guests at the Information Booth, selling raffle tickets (must be 18 years or older), servicing the food areas, and assisting with crowd control inside the church. A free meal will be provided to all volunteers.
This event is one-of-a-kind and traces its roots back to the days when Parc-Ex was at the centre of it all! It’s an excellent opportunity to build your leadership and social skills, add volunteer hours to your portfolio and help support our Greek community in Montreal!
Volunteer Requirements
- No skills or previous experience are necessary.
- If you are under 18, your parent or guardian will be asked to submit a signed release form.
- Instructions and orientations will be provided closer to the event.
- You will be provided with clothing/markings to identify you as a volunteer.
- To get to the location, we encourage you to carpool or take public transportation
- Includes free meal provided to volunteers
- We will provide a volunteer confirmation following your service. Please allow up to two weeks to receive your confirmation
