Bring the Spirit of Filoxenia to Life
The Hellenic Flame Festival returns to Park Extension on Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16, 2026.
Organized by the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal, the festival is one of the most anticipated annual celebrations in Montreal’s Greek community. Each year, it brings together families, friends, and visitors for a weekend celebrating Greek culture, food, music, traditions, and community spirit.
Greek Roots is proud to once again support the festival by recruiting youth volunteers to help make the weekend a success. Whether you are a returning volunteer or participating for the first time, we would be delighted to welcome you. Your contribution will help create a warm and welcoming experience for festival guests while helping to keep our culture, traditions, and community spirit strong.

Volunteer Roles
Volunteers will be assigned primarily to the festival’s food and service areas. No previous volunteer experience is required. Instructions will be provided at the beginning of each shift.
Available Volunteer Shifts
Saturday, August 15, 2026
- Afternoon shift: 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM
- Evening shift: 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Sunday, August 16, 2026
- Afternoon shift: 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM
- Evening shift: 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Volunteers may register for more than one shift.
Please note: Meals will be provided to volunteers working four hours or more.
