Greek Roots is a Canadian nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower the next generation of leaders through community volunteerism, mentorship and Hellenic cultural experiences. We welcome all youth aged 13-29 who espouse the values of Hellenism and/or are interested in learning more about Greece and Greek culture.

VOLUNTEER AT THE

HCGM’s Holy Cross Greek Festival (LAVAL)

June 28 – July 1, 2024

We’re thrilled to support the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal’s Holy Cross Greek Festival in Laval, taking place from June 28 to July 1, 2024, at 4865 Chem. du Souvenir, Laval. Youth Volunteers, ages 13-29, are needed for several tasks including welcoming guests, selling lottery tickets, helping with logistics and servicing the food service stations. Multiple shifts are available and includes a free meal provided to volunteers.

This event attracts a significant number of visitors and is an excellent opportunity to build your leadership and social skills, add volunteer hours to your portfolio and help support the not-for-profit Greek community in Laval!

Volunteer Requirements

• No skills or previous experience are necessary.
• If you are under 18, your parent or guardian will be asked to submit a signed release form.
• Instructions and orientations will be provided closer to the event.
• You will be provided with clothing/markings to identify you as a volunteer.
• To get to the location, we encourage you to carpool or take public transportation
• Includes free meal provided to volunteers
• We will provide a volunteer confirmation following your service. Please allow up to two weeks to receive your confirmation
