Greek Roots is a Canadian nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower the next generation of leaders through community volunteerism, mentorship and Hellenic cultural experiences. We welcome all youth aged 13-29 who espouse the values of Hellenism and/or are interested in learning more about Greece and Greek culture.

Every year, the Radio Marathon brings our community together to lift up something precious — our Greek schools and the future of our youth. This is more than a fundraiser. It’s a moment where our voices unite, our culture shines, and our commitment to the next generation becomes visible and powerful.

And this year, we need you.

Greek Roots is gathering a small team of dedicated young volunteers to support the HCGM Fundraising Committee during the 2025 Radio Marathon. By giving just a few hours of your time, you’ll help keep the phones ringing, the donations flowing, and the energy high throughout the day.

📅 When & Where:

  • Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Locations: HCGM Head Office, 5777 Av. Wilderton, Montreal (Priority location) and Le Château Royal, 3500 Bd du Souvenir, Laval, QC H7V 1X2

💬 What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be right at the heart of the action:

  • Answering phones
  • Receiving donations
  • Completing donor forms
  • Welcoming community members who come in to contribute

Every call you take and every donation you process will help strengthen our schools and support Hellenic education in Montreal.

🌐 Who We’re Looking For

  • Ages 18-29

  • Comfortable speaking Greek, English, or French

🍕 We’ve Got You Covered

Expect morning donuts, pizza for lunch, and a warm, supportive environment throughout the day.
All volunteers will meet at the HCGM Head Office before getting started.
