Greek Roots is a Canadian nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower the next generation of leaders through community volunteerism, mentorship and Hellenic cultural experiences. We welcome all youth aged 13-29 who espouse the values of Hellenism and/or are interested in learning more about Greece and Greek culture.

THE LACONIAN BROTHERHOOD OF CANADA’S COAT & BLANKET DRIVE

Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of those who need our help this winter.

Make a meaningful impact this winter by joining the Laconian Brotherhood of Canada’s Coat & Blanket Drive. Together, we’ll help provide warmth and comfort to families in need throughout our Montreal communities.

Since its founding, the Laconian Brotherhood has been committed to supporting local families through acts of kindness and community service. This January, you can be part of this legacy by volunteering your time to organize donated coats and blankets that will be distributed to those who need them most.

Volunteer Role:
Help us sort and organize donated coats and blankets for distribution to families in need.

Volunteer Requirements

  • No skills or previous experience are necessary.
  • If you are under 18, your parent or guardian must complete this release form: https://greekroots.org/consent-form/
    • Note: your parent or guardian only has to compete this form once (i.e. not for each volunteer opportunity)
  • Instructions and orientations will be provided closer to the event.
  • You will be provided with clothing/markings to identify you as a volunteer.
  • To get to the location, we encourage you to carpool or take public transportation
  • For shifts of more than 4 hours, a free meal is provided.
  • We will provide a volunteer confirmation following your service. Please allow up to two weeks to receive your confirmation
