Greek Roots is a Canadian nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower the next generation of leaders through community volunteerism, mentorship and Hellenic cultural experiences. We welcome all youth aged 13-29 who espouse the values of Hellenism and/or are interested in learning more about Greece and Greek culture.

Help Us Bring Christmas Magic to Life

Join us at the SEF Christmas Market on Sunday, November 30

This holiday season, Greek Roots is joining forces with the Socrates Educational Foundation (SEF) to create something truly special — a day where imagination sparkles, children’s laughter fills the halls, and the spirit of Christmas comes alive in our community.

Since 1998, SEF has supported thousands of children by helping families access Hellenic trilingual education. Their mission is extraordinary, but on Sunday, November 30, the focus will be something even more magical: bringing joy, warmth, and wonder to the little ones who will walk through the doors of the SEF Christmas Market.

And we need you — our amazing youth volunteers — to help make the magic happen.

From greeting families to guiding excited kids toward Santa, from helping vendors set up their festive displays to handing out goodie bags with a smile, you’ll be part of creating moments that children will remember long after the ornaments come down.

There will be twinkling lights.
There will be holiday music.
There will be 30 vendors offering treasures, treats, and handmade surprises.
And yes… Santa himself is making a Greek-style entrance, frappe in hand!
